Arm Lift Surgery - San Francisco
By Bay Area Surgeon Dr. Aycock

The natural aging process, genetics, and weight loss can cause the skin around the upper arms to sag. Once the skin has been stretched, arm lift plastic surgery can return the arms to a more youthful contour.
Arm Lift Procedure Information
Upper arm lift, also called brachioplasty, is typically performed under general anesthesia. San Francisco surgeon, Dr. Aycock will make an incision from the elbow to the armpit, remove the excess skin, and suture the arm skin back together along the incision line. Although the incision is in an inconspicuous place, some scarring will always be visible.
Recovery from Arm Lift Plastic Surgery
After arm lift surgery, the upper arms will be bandaged to reduce swelling. The incision will probably heal within one or two weeks, at which time the sutures will be removed. Most bruising and swelling gradually disappear within a month, with all swelling gone within three to six months. The scars will fade over time, but some scarring may always be present. Liposuction of the upper arms may be used in addition to brachioplasty to further contour the arms.
