Chin enhancement surgery is typically performed on an outpatient basis with either general or local anesthesia. San Francisco surgeon, Dr. Aycock will make an incision under the chin or inside the lower lip, through which a pre-formed chin implant is placed.

Recovery from Chin Augmentation Surgery

You can expect to return home following chin implant surgery with a small bandage over the chin. Initial swelling can be expected, and any discomfort is easily controlled with oral medication prescribed by Dr. Aycock. Any tenderness or swelling will improve with time.
