Men who are uncomfortable with their chest contour might consider gynecomastia reduction surgery. Some men have larger than average breasts due to genetics or the aging process. After weight loss, some men may have sagging or excess skin in the chest area that can be removed through the chest contouring process. Whatever the cause, the purpose of male chest contouring surgery is to create a flatter and more masculine chest appearance.

Male Chest Contouring Procedure Information

San Francisco surgeon, Dr. Aycock will remove excess fat with liposuction or through excision, and excess skin around the breast will be removed. Male chest contouring may be performed either under general anesthesia or with sedation and local anesthesia on an outpatient basis.

Recovery from Gynecomastia Surgery

You should arrange for someone to drive you home following surgery and to be available to help you out for a few days. A compression vest or other bandages may be indicated for a week or two after surgery to help reduce swelling. About a week following your surgery, sutures will be removed.
