Breast Augmentation in Danville, CA

Dr. Robert Aycock offers breast augmentation procedures to the residents of Danville, California.

What is Breast Augmentation?

Breast augmentation, also known as breast enlargement or mammaplasty, is a procedure that enlarges the breasts, giving you a more shapely appearance. Breast augmentation may be recommended for women who have small breasts, or are unhappy with the size and shape of their breasts. Many women who have their breasts removed as a result of breast cancer, a procedure known as a mastectomy, may undergo breast augmentation to rebuild their breasts.

How is the Breast Augmentation Procedure Performed?

Breast augmentation procedures use breast implants to enhance the size and shape of your breasts. Dr. Aycock offers two types of breast implants for his patients in Danville, California – silicone and saline. Silicone implants are available for women who are 22 years of age or older. Women must be at least 18 years of age to receive saline implants.

Dr. Aycock administers general anesthesia for the breast augmentation procedure. He places the incisions in locations that will best hide the scars after you have healed, such as in the natural crease under your breast or in your armpit. Depending on your individual case, Dr. Aycock places the breast implants under your chest muscles, or your natural breast tissue. When the implants are properly positioned, Dr. Aycock closes the incisions.
