BBL™ Photofacial

What Is a BBL™ PhotoFacial?

A BBL™ PhotoFacial uses an Intense Pulsed Light (IPL®) to target the specific areas on the face. This gentle laser light helps remove discoloration on the skin caused by environmental damage, as well as congenital concerns (freckles, birthmarks, and such).

Benefits of BBL™ PhotoFacial

A BBL™ PhotoFacial can take away key areas of focus on your face that may cause you unwanted attention. Patients who have this procedure done typically report the following benefits:

  • An improved complexion and smoother, softer skin.
  • An increase in self-confidence and self-esteem as they no longer feel self-conscious about their face.

Preparing for a BBL™ PhotoFacial

You must avoid tanning before and after a BBL™ PhotoFacial. If you are using IPL® for hair reduction, you should not tan before your session, as this process uses the difference in coloration of the area under the hair versus normal skin and will be more challenging to work with if the hair reduction treatment area is noticeably tanned.

How Is a BBL™ PhotoFacial Performed?

A gentle laser light is passed over the area being treated. You may feel a gentle warming sensation. You will be given safety goggles to protect your eyes against the laser light if desired. The treatment itself takes only a few minutes, so you can have it done on your lunch break and return to work that same afternoon.

BBL™ PhotoFacial Recovery

There is minimal downtime, pain, or discomfort associated with a BBL™ PhotoFacial. You may feel some redness (like a mild sunburn) at the area being treated, and it may appear pinkish immediately after the treatment; however, this will dissipate quickly, giving you results right away. Many people are impressed at how quickly they see a noticeable difference.
