Sciton® Contour TRL™

What Is Contourâ„¢ TRL?

Though there are several lasers that are used to treat conditions of the skin, Contour TRLâ„¢ has been widely regarded as the safest and most effective laser on the market today.

Contour TRLâ„¢ is a precise technology that can be adjusted to treat different types of tissue, depending on the treatment administered. The Contour TRLâ„¢ has the ability to smooth out wrinkles on the outside of the skin while stimulating the growth of collagen on the inside, adding firmness and resilience. Contour TRLâ„¢ works best in treating these conditions:

  • Mild to severe wrinkles.
  • Scars from acne, surgery and previous trauma.
  • Poor skin tone.
  • Skin discolorations.
  • Actinic keratosis.

Preparing for Contourâ„¢ TRL

Your skin will be red and may feel like a bad sunburn in the hours after your treatment. You may wish to take off work for a couple of days and avoid exposure to the sun. You may be asked to wear sunscreen and apply moisturizer to keep your skin soft and hydrated.

How Is Contourâ„¢ TRL Performed?

Contourâ„¢ TRL uses a specialized laser to gently remove the outer layers of the skin, reducing the look of fine lines and wrinkles, and giving way to softer, smoother, younger-looking skin. The depth of the laser treatment will depend on the condition being treated and will be something that Dr. Aycock will discuss with you during your free consultation.

Contourâ„¢ TRL Recovery*

Recovery time varies for each individual and often includes at least a day or two of downtime while your skin heals. The top layer of skin begins to regrow in about a week, so you still start noticing subtle, gradual improvements as the skin heals and repairs itself. You should always keep the skin moisturized and protected against the effects of UV damage during this time.
