Preparing for ProFractional™

You may wish to apply a topical numbing cream, particularly if sensitive areas will be affected by the treatment. However, most people feel minimal to no discomfort during the treatment, and full results will be visible within a few weeks.

How Does ProFractional™ Work?

ProFractional Therapy™ works through the use of high-intensity, energy-filled laser beams that target damaged skin tissue. The laser penetrates the damaged tissue, producing “wounds” that are surrounded by healthier skin cells. These wounds initiate the skin’s natural health process, which stimulates collagen growth, thus producing newer, healthier skin in place of the damaged tissue. This new growth smoothens out wrinkles and fine lines and adds volume and texture to skin irregularities such as age spots and scars.

ProFractional™ quickly and effectively treats wrinkles, acne scars, skin tone and texture, and pigment in a single pass treatment, with the following benefits:

  • Fast
  • Comfortable
  • Variable depth and density
  • One or two treatments
  • Single pass

ProFractional™ Recovery*

A topical cream or ointment may be issued to you to help keep the affected area moist and provide a barrier against infection or pollutants. You should wear a sunscreen containing zinc oxide to protect against UV exposure while your skin heals. Your skin may feel like it has a bad sunburn, and some cracking or oozing may be present. The redness from the therapy will be light enough to cover with makeup on or around the third day of recovery.
