What Is ClearSense™?
Nail fungus is a painful and embarrassing problem. Messy creams and ointments only treat the outer skin – not the soft nail bed underneath. ClearSense™ is a laser that heats the nail bed, getting rid of the underlying fungus and giving you clearer, healthier looking nails. It works for both fingernails and toenails affected by nail fungus.
Benefits of ClearSense™
ClearSense™ offers a number of benefits including the following:
- Clearer, healthier-looking nails after just one visit (although multiple procedures may be needed to completely remove the nail fungus).
- Less nail discoloration and no pain after the procedure.
Preparing for ClearSense™
You may feel nervous or apprehensive about the procedure beforehand; however, you needn’t worry as ClearSense™ is a safe, effective nail fungus treatment, particularly when other types of treatment including oral antibiotics and creams have failed to adequately treat the problem.
How Is ClearSense™ Performed?
For hands or feet affected by nail fungus, the ClearSense™ laser is passed over the affected area. The number of treatments will depend on the severity of the condition; however, most nail fungus issues are resolved within 2-3 sessions (each lasting 15-20 minutes). You may feel some slight discomfort during the procedure but should feel no discomfort afterward.
Who Should Consider ClearSense™?
Patients who experience a white or yellow discoloration and pain in their fingernails or toenails and who may have tried other treatments to no avail should consider ClearSense™.
How Often Does A ClearSense™ Treatment Need To Be Done?
This varies from patient to patient, depending upon the severity of the fungus. Generally, most infections will begin to improve after two or three 15 to 20 minute treatments. Though the nail fungus can grow back, there are post-operative measures that you can take to further prevent a recurrence.
You may notice some redness after the treatment; however, this should resolve within 24 hours. You can wear your socks and shoes immediately after treatment and you should feel no discomfort. Although it may take several sessions to completely remove the nail fungus, reinfection can always occur, although post-operative measures can be taken to prevent this.
