What is Sciton® Laser Treatment?

Sciton® is a manufacturer of aesthetic laser systems. Sciton® laser treatments provide effective solutions to a variety of skin conditions. Some, like the ProFractional™ and MicroLaser Peel™, use ablative technology that penetrates the outer layers of the skin. Others, like Sciton® BBL™, are non-ablative and do not damage the skin. The uniquely flexible Sciton® Halo™ can combine both types in one treatment.

What Types of Sciton® Laser Treatment are Available?

Each Sciton® laser system uses a different technology and works at different levels of the skin. Dr. Aycock and his team offer the following types of laser treatments:

Sciton® MicroLaser Peel™

The MicroLaser Peel™ removes the outer layers of skin to trigger powerful regeneration. This ablative laser works at a depth of 20 microns (a mild peel) to 50 microns (an intensive peel). It can treat wrinkles, scars, keratoses, and other deep skin conditions. Downtime is typically about two days, giving it the title of “the weekend peel.”

Sciton® ProFractional™

ProFractional™ is a fractional laser. These lasers create tiny channels in the skin, stimulating collagen production and rejuvenating the skin’s surface. This powerful laser treatment will cause noticeable redness and sensitivity lasting several days. 

Sciton® Halo™

This revolutionary system allows your laser expert to use ablative and non-ablative technology in one treatment. Halo™ customizes your treatment to address fine lines, acne scars, and hyperpigmentation. Downtime varies depending on the depth of your treatment, but in most cases, it lasts less than a day. 

Sciton® BBL™ Photofacial

If you have pigmentation issues, a BBL™ PhotoFacial might be ideal. This treatment uses light energy to target red pigments, such as those in spider veins, or brown pigments, such as those in dark spots. These pigments absorb the laser energy, but the skin does not, making this a no-downtime treatment.
