While you might think of injectables or laser treatments as the best way to smooth and brighten your skin, you have a gentle but powerful option that resurfaces, extracts and treats your skin for a healthy glow. A HydraFacial® is an effective way to achieve your skin goals or just look radiant for a big event.

What is a HydraFacial®?

You have many options for rejuvenating facial treatments, but the HydraFacial® continues to grow in popularity. Its three-step treatment process is ideal for all skin types and tones, and with a series of treatments, it can improve concerns such as acne, fine lines, and pigmentation issues.

Dr. Aycock and his team offer several levels of HydraFacial®: signature, deluxe, and platinum. These options add additional treatments, such as LED therapy. We can recommend the option that will help you achieve your goals.

What Does a HydraFacial® Do?

A HydraFacial® works in three steps:

Cleanse and Exfoliate

During this step, your skin is cleansed to remove dirt and oil. Your provider then applies a light chemical peel that exfoliates the outer layers of your skin, removing dull, damaged cells and revealing healthy new ones.

Extract

Gentle vacuum extraction removes oil, debris, and bacteria from your pores, leaving them looking tighter and smaller. This step helps prevent acne and maintain a bright, even complexion.

Treat and Hydrate

During this step, your provider applies a carefully selected serum that addresses your skin’s unique concerns. They also apply a hydrating treatment that protects your skin and locks in the beneficial hydration.

A HydraFacial® can treat many different skin conditions. We often recommend this treatment to address:

  • Dullness
  • Dry skin
  • Acne
  • Fine lines
  • Enlarged pores
  • Hyperpigmentation
  • Uneven skin texture
  • Rosacea
  • Oily or congested skin

Few treatments can address such a wide range of skin issues gently and non-invasively. A HydraFacial® can even address issues like rosacea that are too sensitive for many other methods.

How Often Should I Get a HydraFacial®?

The radiant glow from a HydraFacial® lasts for several weeks after treatment. Addressing textural or pigmentation issues usually requires a series of sessions, although the number will vary based on your needs. We recommend a HydraFacial® every four to six weeks to maintain your smooth, clear skin. You can have a HydraFacial® as often as every one to two weeks if preparing for an event.

Is There Any Downtime After a HydraFacial®?

One advantage of HydraFacial® is that it requires no downtime. You can return to work or other activities immediately after your appointment. Your skin may look a bit pink or flushed after treatment, but this usually lasts less than an hour. You will notice immediate improvements in your skin’s hydration and overall glow.
