The experience of being a mother lasts a lifetime, but you may not want its effects on your body to last that long. A mommy makeover corrects the changes caused by pregnancy, including stretched abdominal skin, accumulated fat, and changes to your breasts. A mommy makeover restores your pre-baby figure in one surgery for dramatic results.

What is a Mommy Makeover?

A mommy makeover is an option for anyone who wants to fix many effects of pregnancy. It usually contains several core procedures, such as a tummy tuck and breast enhancement, but it can include many other procedures to help you achieve your goals. Dr. Aycock will customize your mommy makeover so you can have the confidence in your body you had before pregnancy.

Is a Mommy Makeover Right For Me?

A mommy makeover is not right for everyone. First, potential candidates should keep in mind that if they become pregnant again, it may undo many of their results. We recommend waiting to have your procedure until you are done growing your family. Second, you should be at least six months to a year after your last pregnancy so your body has had time to adjust to these effects.

Good candidates for a mommy makeover should have reasonable expectations and no major health problems. Dr. Aycock will help you understand exactly what you can expect from your results. Healthy candidates who do not smoke will usually heal well after the procedure with few or no issues.

A mommy makeover might be right for you if you are healthy, do not plan to become pregnant again, and understand the risks and benefits. Only a consultation can determine whether a mommy makeover will be safe and effective for you.

Mommy Makeover Consultations Available

What is Included in a Mommy Makeover?

A mommy makeover typically includes several core procedures. These include:

  • Tummy tuck (abdominoplasty)
  • Liposuction
  • Breast enhancement (augmentation, reduction, or lift)

You can choose to add many other procedures, including:

  • Arm lift
  • Thigh lift
  • Nonsurgical options (injectables, laser treatments)

You may even choose to have facial procedures during your mommy makeover. Each one is customized to your needs, so discuss all your concerns with Dr. Aycock so he can design a procedure that achieves your goals.

What is Recovery Like After a Mommy Makeover?

Recovery after a mommy makeover depends on the procedures included. In most cases, the tummy tuck part of the surgery has the longest recovery time. You can expect swelling, bruising, and soreness in the treated areas and may want someone to assist you around the house for the first day or two.

You cannot lift anything for several weeks, so you may need help if you have young children. People with light-activity jobs may be able to return to work within two to three weeks. You will usually be cleared to return to your exercise routine after about six weeks.

Dr. Aycock and his team are superior. I have used their services in various forms for many years and can highly recommend them.
