Most lasers use a single wavelength that works best for addressing particular concerns such as pigmentation or texture. Halo™ laser treatments can restore your firmer, more even-toned skin with its unique hybrid capabilities. The Halo™ laser corrects a wide range of skin concerns with its fully customizable treatment options.

What is the Halo™ Laser?

The Halo™ laser is a fractional laser that restores brighter, more youthful skin. Fractional lasers treat small areas while leaving the surrounding skin unaffected, allowing your skin to heal quickly. This dual laser combines the benefits of two lasers to let Dr. Aycock and his team customize your treatment to meet your needs.

How Does a Halo™ Laser Treatment Work?

Most skin rejuvenation lasers work in one of two ways. Ablative lasers work by targeting the outer layers of the skin, creating controlled damage that triggers new skin cells to reach the surface. Non-ablative lasers do not cause injury to the skin. Instead, they work deep in the dermis to trigger collagen formation. Halo™ is a hybrid laser that can use both of these technologies.

Is There Downtime After a Halo™ Laser Treatment?

Each Halo™ laser treatment is unique, so your downtime may vary. Your skin will usually look red and may feel warm or sensitive after treatment. We will apply a soothing balm and use a cooling system to minimize any discomfort.

We recommend cold compresses to keep your skin comfortable for the next few days. Avoid the use of irritating products, including peels, scrubs, or heavily scented products. You can return to your usual activities after a day or two, but some people prefer to wait a bit longer to allow the redness to fade. Dark spots will often become darker before disappearing. Your skin may flake or peel after an intense treatment.

Your skin will usually be fully recovered in a week or less. Laser treatments make your skin very sun-sensitive, so avoid exposure and use sunscreen with at least SPF 30. We also recommend the use of medical-grade skincare to boost your results.

When Will I See Results After Halo™ Laser Treatment?

You will often see improvements in your skin within a few days of treatment. However, you will see continued progress over time. As the cells in your dermis produce more collagen, your skin becomes smoother and looks more even. These effects peak at about three months and can last a year or more.

Am I a Good Candidate for Halo™ Laser Treatment?

Because Halo™ is so customizable, it is safer than other lasers, especially for darker skin tones. Most healthy adults are good candidates, especially if they want to address many different skin concerns with one laser. Candidates should have reasonable expectations and understand the risks and benefits of this treatment.

Sandra is awesome and always asks about my son she hadn’t seen me in a long time but remembers about my family. I love the office and all the staff!
