With so many laser treatments available, you might wonder which type works better for your skin concerns.  Fortunately, the Halo™ laser combines ablative and non-ablative lasers for the best of both worlds. This laser treatment triggers renewal and collagen production for clearer, more youthful skin.

What is Halo™ Laser Skin Rejuvenation?

The Halo™ laser is a highly customizable treatment that provides intensive skin rejuvenation. Because it can combine two types of lasers into one treatment, it can effectively treat a wide range of skin problems. Halo™ can treat signs of aging, sun damage, and uneven skin tone. We can adjust it to one of three settings based on your needs.

How Does Halo™ Laser Treatment Work?

Most lasers are either ablative or non-ablative. Ablative lasers remove the outer layers of skin, while non-ablative lasers do not. Halo™ can act as both types of laser during your treatment, allowing you to enjoy the benefits of both lasers with one system.

Halo™ is a fractional laser that creates micro-channels in the skin. These micro-channels trigger collagen development to tighten and firm your skin. Treatment also removes old, damaged cells and brings healthy, vibrant-looking cells to the surface.

How to Prepare for Halo™ Laser Treatment

Preparation for Halo™ laser treatment will minimize your risk of side effects and make sure you heal quickly. We recommend that you follow these tips to get the best, safest results:

  • Stop smoking 48 hours before treatment
  • Stop taking medications if instructed by Dr. Aycock
  • Avoid RetinA and/or Retinol products, harsh products, scrubs, or other harsh skin treatments for at least 3 days prior to treatment
  • Limit sun exposure and use sun protection

You should arrive for treatment with clean, makeup-free skin. Let us know before your appointment if you develop an infection or active skin condition in the treatment area.

What Results Will I See With Halo™ Laser Skin Rejuvenation?

Results from Halo™ skin rejuvenation will start to develop within a few days of treatment. Increased collagen production continues for several months.

The results of Halo™ laser treatment usually last one to two years. You can schedule another treatment as needed to maintain your firm, vibrant-looking skin. Results last longer if you maintain consistent sun protection and an anti-aging skincare routine.

Is There Any Downtime With Halo™ Laser Treatment?

Most people experience sunburn-like heat and redness for several hours after treatment. Redness, peeling, and sensitivity can continue for several days. We recommend cold compresses to reduce swelling and make your skin feel more comfortable. We will provide you with cream to use during your healing process.

Am I a Good Candidate for Halo™ Laser Treatment?

Most people make good candidates for Halo™ laser treatment. Since it can act as an ablative or non-ablative laser and has three different settings, we can customize it for your needs. Ideal candidates want to treat signs of aging, hyperpigmentation, and textural issues with less downtime than most lasers.

I finally had coolsculpting on my tummy and what a surprisingly easy treatment it was. Ashley the nurse was fantastic and she used the new hand piece that is smaller and faster. It was painless except for the 2-minute massage after the treatment but not bad at all. I’m a little sore today but this was easy-breezy and I can’t wait to see my results. I highly recommend it.
