Laser skin rejuvenation can treat lines and wrinkles, sun damage, and acne scarring while leaving your skin radiant and youthful. The customizable Halo™ laser system uses two laser wavelengths for maximum skin-transforming power. Most people have multiple skin concerns, and Halo™ can address many of them with one treatment.

What is Halo™ Laser?

Halo™ is a form of laser skin rejuvenation that combines the benefit of ablative and non-ablative lasers into one treatment session. Halo™ can improve the appearance of hyperpigmentation, acne scarring, enlarged pores, and signs of aging. It enhances the surface layers of the skin to smooth and brighten. It also triggers deeper layers of skin to increase collagen production.

How Does Halo™ Laser Work?

Halo™ can act as an ablative and non-ablative laser during your treatment, depending on your skin needs. As a fractional laser, it creates tiny areas of controlled damage to the skin’s surface that triggers healing and cell turnover. It also heats deeper layers of skin and stimulates them to produce collagen, a vital structural protein that firms and smooths the skin.

How Long Does Halo™ Laser Last?

The results of your Halo™ treatment will continue to develop for several months after treatment as your skin produces new collagen. We recommend using quality skin care products and daily sunscreen to prolong your results since UV exposure damages collagen. With good skin care, your results can last one to two years

How to Prepare for Halo™ Laser Treatment

Dr. Aycock and his team will give you a list of medications to avoid before treatment, including NSAIDs like aspirin. We recommend that you avoid scrubs and at-home chemical peels before treatment. You should also avoid sun exposure and tanning. Arrive for your appointment with a clean face.

What is it Like Getting Halo™ Laser Treatment?

A numbing cream will be applied to your face to keep you comfortable. After this has numbed your skin, your clinical aesthetician will move the handpiece over the treatment areas, adjusting the laser wavelength depending on your skin’s needs. Treatment usually takes 30 to 45 minutes. After treatment, you will spend about 15 minutes relaxing while a fan and cooling mask soothes your skin.

Is There Any Downtime After Halo™ Laser?

You may experience swelling, redness, and a feeling of heat resembling a sunburn. During the first few days after treatment, dark spots may get darker, and you may see some minor peeling. Your skin will return to normal within a week. Initial results will become visible as the peeling stops and swelling fades.

I finally had coolsculpting on my tummy and what a surprisingly easy treatment it was. Ashley the nurse was fantastic and she used the new hand piece that is smaller and faster. It was painless except for the 2-minute massage after the treatment but not bad at all. I’m a little sore today but this was easy-breezy and I can’t wait to see my results. I highly recommend it.
