Finding the right laser treatment can be a challenge. Fortunately, Halo™ offers a highly customizable option that works for almost anyone. This advanced laser system combines two forms of laser energy to achieve maximum results and treat more skin concerns than less versatile methods.

What is Halo™ for Skin Rejuvenation?

Halo™ is a skin rejuvenation treatment that addresses many skin concerns. Unlike other lasers, Halo™ combines ablative and non-ablative treatments to provide a highly customizable experience. This laser allows Dr. Aycock and his team to plan your treatment around your goals, skin needs, and an acceptable amount of downtime.

How Do Halo™ Laser Treatments Work?

Most lasers are ablative or non-ablative. An ablative laser removes the outer layers of the epidermis, triggering cellular renewal. A non-ablative laser treats the skin from beneath, triggering new collagen production. Halo™ uses both types of treatment, letting you enjoy both benefits. A Halo™ treatment usually takes 15 to 30 minutes. Your provider will apply numbing cream for your comfort.

Is There Any Downtime After Halo™ Treatments?

After your Halo™ treatment, we will apply a special balm to your skin and use a cooling system to reduce warmth and redness. Most people experience redness and heat after treatment, but cold compresses usually help. You can resume most of your usual activities after a day or two. However, you may prefer to take a few days of downtime. Your skin will look red for several days and may experience some peeling. Dark spots tend to darken before they disappear.

Avoid makeup, scrubs, peels, or other harsh treatments for several days after Halo™ treatment. Your provider will give you instructions for aftercare, including when you can start wearing makeup and using your usual facial care products. The intensity of your treatment and your skin’s reaction will determine your recovery. Most people look back to normal within a week.

Halo™ Laser Treatment Consultations Available

What Can Halo™ Treat?

Halo™ is a versatile laser that can treat a wide range of skin concerns. We recommend Halo™ for those who want to address the following:

  • Fine lines and wrinkles
  • Skin laxity
  • Hyperpigmentation
  • Sun damage
  • Age spots
  • Uneven texture
  • Enlarged pores
  • Acne and acne scars
  • Dullness

Its combination of ablative and non-ablative treatments lets Halo™ provide skin resurfacing while triggering deeper collagen production. Dull, damaged layers of skin cells are removed to reveal glowing, firmer skin. The new collagen improves skin texture and tone for powerful anti-aging results

Am I a Good Candidate for Halo™ Laser Treatments?

Customizable Halo™ is safe for all skin types and tones, unlike most lasers. Good candidates want to address many skin concerns with a single treatment. Halo™ is an excellent choice for treating sun damage, age spots, and textural issues. It can also reduce acne breakouts and reduce the appearance of acne scars and post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation. You should not have Halo™ treatments if you have a skin infection in the treatment area.
