Restylane® is a safe and natural anti-aging injectable derived from hyaluronic acid. How Long Does Restylane® Last?
Restylane® is a dermal filler that is injected into the skin for the purpose of increasing facial volume. This family of dermal fillers has several products to meet your aesthetic goals. Depending on the filler chosen for your treatment, this filler may be more viscous or thin.
Restylane® results can last up to 9 months depending on your body chemistry and how many times Restylane® has been used in that area before.
What are the Benefits of Restylane®?
Here are some of the benefits of Restylane®:
- The injections can help reduce wrinkles and folds around the eyes and smoothen the lines on the nose.
- Restylane lasts up to 9 months before needing a touchup injection, significantly longer than other wrinkle treatments.
- Restylane has minimal side effects that mainly include redness and swelling at the injection site for a day or so following treatment.
Am I a Candidate for Restylane®?
You may be a great candidate if you have wrinkles or folds around the nose or deep lines from your mouth to the corners of your lips. You can also get Restylane® if you have areas of volume loss on your face because Restylane® can fill those areas and help restore the youthful appearance of your skin.
Restylane® is not recommended if you have any of these conditions:
- Deep facial scars
- Active acne rosacea
- Keloid scarring/raised dermatitis rash around injection sites
- Skin cancer
- Any type of tumor near the injection site.
Restylane® isn’t recommended for those who are pregnant or breastfeeding.
