Restylane® is a dermal filler that adds volume and contouring to the facial features as well as reducing the appearance of lines and wrinkles. Dr. Aycock and his team choose Restylane® over similar products due to their experience with its superior results.

What is Restylane®?

Restylane® contains hyaluronic acid, a molecule found naturally in the body. This molecule attracts moisture, making it an essential factor in keeping skin looking full and youthful. Different types of Restylane® have different arrangements of molecules to make them work better in various applications. For example, Restylane Lyft® treats deep lines and creases, while the formula of Restylane Kysse® has enough flexibility for use in the lips.

How Does Restylane® Work?

When injected into your skin, Restylane® molecules begin to pull in moisture and plump the skin, resulting in improved fullness and shape. Different Restylane® formulas work the same way, but they have different thicknesses and flexibility. Thicker formulas work well for plumping up deep lines and wrinkles, while a thin, smooth formula works well for leaving the lips soft and flexible.

How is Restylane® Different From Juvederm®?

Both Restylane® and Juvederm® contain hyaluronic acid, and both come in a variety of formulas for use in different applications and areas of the face. However, many practitioners prefer one over the other. Dr. Aycock’s team prefers to use Restylane® and feels that his patients see better overall results. In his experience, Restylane® has also proven to be less expensive.

How Long Does Restylane® Last?

Restylane® lasts about one year, although this varies depending on the formula and area of the face. Many people come back yearly or as needed for maintenance treatment. Once people see the results they can get with Restylane®, they don’t want to see them go.

Is There Any Downtime With Restylane®?

You can resume all your usual activities with no downtime immediately after treatment. Restylane®’s hyaluronic acid formula works safely. If your filler included lidocaine, you will feel some numbness in the treated area until it wears off.

What Results Will I See From Restylane®?

You should see increased volume and fullness immediately after your injections. If your treatment targets lines and wrinkles, you will see these soften and become less noticeable. Restylane® dermal fillers can add volume to almost any part of your face for more youthful firmness. Some types can also be used for facial contouring, such as in the cheek area.

Am I a Candidate for Restylane®?

Hyaluronic acid fillers like Restylane® are very safe, and almost anyone is a good candidate. Consult with Dr. Aycock or a member of his team about your concerns and what type of filler will work best for you.

“My experience at the clinic was actually fantastic. The technician, Ashley, was super friendly and talked me through the entire laser procedure, letting my know step by step what she was doing, what was happening, and what effect it was going to have on my skin. As soon as I had a question about what was going on, she’d obviously fielded similar thoughts from previous patients before, because she would inform me before I would even ask the question. I was in and out in no time at all, but not all rushed. It was easy, convenient and just all-round a really great experience. It’s nice to be taken care of by professionals who just handle everything in their stride. Highly recommend :)” *
