The term “chemical peel” can often put people off. After all, the word “chemical” is a bit of a turn-off for a lot of people! However, you shouldn’t write a chemical peel off straight away. This is a treatment that is highly beneficial for the skin. The chemicals used will breakdown the top layers of the skin with this treatment. This helps to lower the appearance of uneven skin tone, wrinkles, and fine lines. The benefit of going for this treatment is that it can improve the appearance of fine scars, as well as reducing dark patches, freckles, and age spots, and certain types of acne. With that being said, let’s explore the benefits of chemical peels in further detail.

1. Chemical Peels are Quick and Non-Invasive

One of the main reasons why chemical peels are highly sought after when it comes to skin treatments is that they are quick and non-invasive. You do not have to worry about downtime or having to book days off work. Instead, you can go back to your normal daily life immediately. At Dr. Aycock’s practice, chemical peels are considered “lunchtime” peels.

2. Chemical Peels Treat a Variety of Concerns

Aside from being non-invasive and quick, chemical peels can treat a host of conditions. It doesn’t matter whether you have uneven skin tone, scarring, discoloration, wrinkles, fine lines, acne, or open pores, a chemical peel could be the perfect treatment for you. This is because this unique skincare solution can treat a whole host of different skin conditions and issues.

3. Chemical Peels are Highly Customizable

The third benefit to consider when it comes to chemical peels is the fact that they are highly customizable. After all, everyone’s skin is different! We all have different problems that we are concerned with. There are then those with dry skin and others that have oily skin or combination skin. Because of this, it is important that your skincare treatment is tailored to suit your needs. You can be sure that this will be the case when you have a chemical peel from Dy. Aycock and his team of Clinical Aestheticians.

Am I a Candidate for a Chemical Peel?

Candidacy for a peel is dependent on your unique treatment plan. There are many types of chemical peels. For instance, you may be a candidate for a light chemical peel if you have mild skin imperfections and you are looking to improve the overall appearance of your skin without having to undergo a more invasive treatment. However, a medium chemical peel may be needed if your skin imperfections are more severe. This is something that will be discussed at length during your consultation.

“My experience at the clinic was actually fantastic. The technician, Ashley, was super friendly and talked me through the entire laser procedure, letting my know step by step what she was doing, what was happening, and what effect it was going to have on my skin. As soon as I had a question about what was going on, she’d obviously fielded similar thoughts from previous patients before, because she would inform me before I would even ask the question. I was in and out in no time at all, but not all rushed. It was easy, convenient and just all-round a really great experience. It’s nice to be taken care of by professionals who just handle everything in their stride. Highly recommend :)” *
