Injectable treatments work within days, give you smoother, younger-looking features, and can be done during your lunch break. These bonuses make them among the most popular cosmetic treatments. Injection specialists have many options when choosing the best injectable for you.

What are Injectables Used For?

Injectables work to enhance your facial features while smoothing out lines and wrinkles. Each type of injectable works in different ways, letting your skincare expert choose one that will achieve the results you want. Injectables restore a more youthful and relaxed appearance.

How Do Injectables Work?

Dr. Aycock’s team offers two categories of injectables. These work very differently but can be used together to produce optimal results.

Botox®/Dysport®

These injectables, also called neurotoxins, use botulinum toxin to calm the facial muscles. These muscles cause crow’s feet, forehead lines, and vertical lines between the brows (glabellar lines). The results last several months with no harm done to the facial muscles. They work best on lines and wrinkles caused by the movement of facial muscles.

Injectable Fillers

Also called dermal fillers, these injectables add volume to the facial features. They come in a wide range of formulas that target the lips, the cheek area, nasolabial (nose to mouth) creases, and even the chin. Several can also be used on various areas of the body.

What Types of Injectables are Available?

Whether your concerns include lines and wrinkles, loss of facial volume, or achieving a more youthful appearance, we offer an injectable to help you achieve your goals.

Botox® and Dysport®

These two injectables use slightly different forms of the botulinum toxin. They work by temporarily paralyzing the facial muscles that pull and tug on the skin. Dysport® lasts somewhat longer than Botox®, and results tend to appear faster. These factors make Dysport® the preferred product by Dr. Aycock and his team.

Juvederm®

This family of dermal fillers uses hyaluronic acid, a molecule that works in the skin to attract and hold onto moisture. Using formulas of different thicknesses and textures, Juvederm® fillers can plump the lips, enhance the cheeks, and smooth lines and wrinkles.

Restylane®

Restylane® also uses hyaluronic acid. This family includes Kysse, a lip filler, Defyne and Refyne for wrinkles around the mouth and nasolabial folds, Contour for cheeks and Lyft for deep folds and creases.

Radiesse®

This filler uses microspheres made of a calcium-based material for facial wrinkles and folds and for loss of volume in the back of hands. People see results immediately, and they can last a year or more.

Scuptra®

This filler contains poly-L-lactic acid, which works differently by stimulating collagen production. Results take several weeks to appear, but the collagen will outlast the filler and continue to provide results for several years.

Am I a Good Candidate for Injectables?

Most people make good candidates for injectables. These products have an extensive history of safety testing and general use. This demonstrates that almost anyone can have injectables to restore a more youthful appearance.

I finally had coolsculpting on my tummy and what a surprisingly easy treatment it was. Ashley the nurse was fantastic and she used the new hand piece that is smaller and faster. It was painless except for the 2-minute massage after the treatment but not bad at all. I’m a little sore today but this was easy-breezy and I can’t wait to see my results. I highly recommend it.
